I love the idea of how family and food amalgamate into a broad concept of “tradition”. Food is such a large and fundamental part of a culture (I’m from a Polish and Hungarian background) so I know first-hand how precious those family cookbooks can be; along with all the stories that come with it, and of course the variations added in that tend to follow from generation to generation.
I especially like the photos posted of the old books; how colorful they are, how interesting to see the type and the fonts and the graphics (for me, anyway!).
I like the title of this project as well; how apt!

Thanks, Lisa! :) I wondered if this echoed parts of your background. Glad you’re enjoying it! And one of the best parts for me, too, is looking at all the graphic design of these books. I’ll try to post more photos this week. (It’s only just occurred to me that I have to start testing recipes…) ;)
And, everyone else, if you haven’t visited Lisa’s shop, you really must: Rendez Vous Bijoux. So charming, colorful, and chic. (I’m a big fan!)
